The Texas A&M Aggies made a huge statement on Thursday night in Columbia , South Carolina as they go into William Brice Stadium with a new QB under center and hangs a crooked 52 on the Gamecocks. The Aggies led the whole way as Sophomore QB Kenny Hill has folks in College Station, Texas already putting Johnny Manziel behind them.
Hill threw for three scored and broke Johnny Football’s record of 464 yards throwing for 511 yards. 12th man also ran up 680 yards of total offense on the Gamecocks as both Aggies running backs the “Williams’ Boys” Trey and Brandon no relation combined for 135 yards on 24 carries. The Gamecocks just could not stop that Aggies offense.
South Carolina QB Dylan Thompson was solid throwing for 366 yards on 20 of 40 with 4 TDs and an INT but he trailed all night long. To complicate things even more they could not get anything done running the pig and that had a lot to do with playing from behind from start to finish. Aggies senior WR Malcome Kennedy grabbed 14 pigs for 137 yards as the 12th man also tries to forget 2014 1st round WR Mike Evans.
Aggies lead man Kevin Sumlin though has to be elated that his QB came out and his team came out collectively and showed there will be more than just life after Johnny Football. As for the ole ball coach Steve Spurrier he needs a patch work job on that defense and as for losing Jadeveon Clowney…the Aggies and QB Hill had no one to fear coming off that edge!
